John and Kathy Warner had set their hearts on an apartment in Milton Keynes. But having set specific criteria for their new home, their search was proving difficult.
That was until they heard about Barratt Northampton’s Vizion apartment scheme in the centre.
They had been looking for four years, having decided to move away from their bungalow in the village of Potterspury, Northamptonshire, so they could enjoy the high-quality facilities available in the city centre.
Kathy, a payroll manager for a technology services company, said: “We visited Barratt’s show apartment - it felt nice and airy. We were so impressed that we made an offer the next day.”
The couple bought a three-bedroom apartment off plan in Amethyst building, one of 10 at Vizion.
Like all homes at the scheme, it comes with a balcony, but the Warners’ also has an additional balcony off the master bedroom.
John, a director of two coffee companies, said: “We needed to tick certain boxes – a balcony, three bedrooms, parking and a top floor location.
“This has it all, and because we have a second home in Spain, we can lock it up and forget about it, knowing the security is excellent.”
Now the couple have moved in, they can enjoy Milton Keynes to the full. Kathy said: “We wanted the lifestyle – within walking distance are restaurants, bars, Debenhams, the cinema and the train station – we don’t have to rely on the car.”
And do they like apartment living? John said, on his wraparound balcony: “I can walk to work, and we see so many people now - our lifestyle is Milton Keynes.”
