FAB THREE FOR THE MARSHALL FAMILY

If you ever needed clarification of how flexible three-storey living is, then the Marshall family who bought at Barratt Northampton’s The Grange in Desborough are an ideal example.

Malcolm, Tracey, their two children Penny and David, and dog Barney, were previously living in nearby Rothwell and needed extra space, and more importantly, an office for Malcolm who works from home as a designer of voice systems.

Having visited The Grange and the five-bedroom, three-storey Chillingham style, their minds were quickly made up – with one reason being the adaptable ground floor.

Malcolm explained: “This level is fantastic.  It has two bedrooms, one of them is my office.  Because they are away from the living areas upstairs, I can’t hear the children when I’m working.”

The other bedroom on this level has also been put to good use.  Tracey said: “It’s great for guests as they can have privacy and use the WC opposite.  And it doubles as an extra lounge – a really handy room.”

The middle floor also impressed them.  Malcolm said: “It has all the living areas and is a good use of space, and the study area is another option for my work.”

It kept getting better for the Marshalls with every floor.  Malcolm said: “The top floor is so quiet.  There are three bedrooms, and ours has a dressing room and en suite.”

The family moved in late December last year after using Barratt’s part exchange service.  Tracey said: “It only took 30 days to move home and was quick and easy.  We’ve saved a lot of money on moving costs and there was no hassle.”
