LIVING THE CORBY LIFE

LIVING THE CORBY LIFE

It is 19 months since Damien Hegarty bought his first home at Barratt Northampton’s Lavender Grove in Corby, and into the impressive regeneration plans taking place.

Now, a year and a half on, the housebuilder is offering further help to first-time buyers on its final release of Falkirk apartments.

Having finished studying at Plymouth University, Damien decided to move back to his roots and secure his first foot on the property ladder.

Since moving in December 2006, life has been good.  He said: “I’m very impressed with the regeneration plans occurring throughout Corby at present - it’s a new and exciting time for the town and I wanted to be part of it.”

“In just over a year I’ve seen the new shopping centre open, alongside plans for the new Corby rail link to London.”

He bought a spacious two bedroom Falkirk apartment and took advantage of the housebuilder’s help for first-time buyers, which included deposit and legal fees paid.

The location initially convinced Damien to buy:  “Opposite my apartment is a landscaped green area – it’s very peaceful and open – it sold it for me.”
Damien works as a technical engineer for Severn Trent Water, and as he grew up in Corby, already appreciated the convenient location.

“I work near Coventry and it’s easy to get to the A14 and M6 – I can be there in 45 minutes.”

Barratt’s final release of the Falkirk apartments includes six, two-bedroom styles, available on selected plots with Head Start.
