Apartment living is all about location, and this was one factor why Tom Daffern bought at Barratt Northampton’s Vizion apartment scheme in Milton Keynes.
The 22-year-old assistant consultant for an accountancy firm was struggling with his commute from Oxford to Milton Keynes, so he decided to move and buy for the first time, and was quickly impressed by Barratt’s offering. Tom said: “My commute now is just a walk across the road. And I’ve got The Hub on my doorstep – it’s a great area to go out in.
“My girlfriend lives in London and the rail connection is excellent – around 40 minutes. I’ve also got clubs, shops and the cinema all on my doorstep – in fact – it’s so convenient that I didn’t use my car for a month.”
Tom bought a two bedroom apartment in Opal building, one of 10 that will form the £82 million development.
He was initially struck by the exterior design: “I love the outside look – the mix of wood, metal and glass has a great contemporary feel.”
And the inside was just as impressive for Tom. “It’s very spacious. The open-plan kitchen and living area is a massive space, and the apartment throughout has a high-quality finish.”
Another highlight for Tom was the balcony, included on all apartments at Vizion. “My balcony overlooks the forthcoming private park, and it’s a great size to sit out on.”
