With a desire to be closer to friends, family and work in Milton Keynes, it was an easy decision for Jeneen and Andrew Nash to move to Barratt Northampton’s Priory Park in the city.

Previously living in Northampton, the couple felt their future was in Milton Keynes, particularly as their two-year-old daughter Niamh needed more space.

Andrew, a PE teacher at a local school, said: “There’s everything for us here.  I’m now closer to work – I can even cycle there.

“As well as good schooling nearby, we’ve got Oakhill Woods on our doorstep – it’s great for cycling and walks.”

The couple chose a three bedroom Enford design, bought using Barratt’s Head Start scheme.  It enabled them to buy the home for 85 per cent of its purchase price, with the remainder payable at a later date.

Jeneen said: “Head Start has made it more affordable – we wouldn’t have been able to move if it wasn’t for this initiative.”

And the family love their new modern home.  Andrew said: “It’s well-laid out and the rooms are spacious.  The garden too is of a good size.

“And because we’ve got family and friends nearby, we’re planning to make good use of the separate dining room.”

And for the future?  Andrew said: “Because the home is new, it’s great there’s no decorating to be done – so we can spend more time with Niamh.”
