Your own place with your own space

If you need a bit of help getting your deposit together, FirstBuy* could be your answer. It's an affordable scheme that allows first-time buyers in England^ to get a place of their own with a deposit of as little as 4%.

Put simply, under the scheme we join forces with the Government, and lend you up to 20% of the value of the home you'd like to buy. So you could take out a 76% mortgage, with a 4% deposit, and be in your own place before you know it.

Your home is still 100% yours, and the loan is interest free for the first five years, unless you sell or transfer your property during that time. You can either pay us back in instalments, or repay the same percentage that you originally borrowed when you come to sell or transfer your home, whatever it's worth at that time.
