Let's get things moving
First time buyers could buy a new home with just a 5% deposit thanks to government schemes NewBuy in England and MI New Home in Scotland. Both schemes could help you get a 95% mortgage to buy any of our homes up to a maximum value of £500,000 in England or £250,000 in Scotland.
Don’t worry if NewBuy or MI New Home aren’t quite right for you, we have a range of other options that could help. Take a look around and then get in touch with the sales advisers at a development you’re interested in. They’ll be happy to explain more.
Time to leave renting behind
Recent research by mortgage lender Halifax* says “buying a house is now much cheaper than renting”. With interest rates are at their lowest for years†, mortgages are more affordable and approvals are on the up.^
If you need a bit of help getting your deposit together, FirstBuy could be your answer. It's an affordable scheme that allows first-time buyers in England to get a place of their own with a deposit of as little as 4%.
Put simply, under the scheme we join forces with the Government, and lend you up to 20% of the value of the home you'd like to buy. So you could take out a 76% mortgage, with a 4% deposit, and be in your own place before you know it.
Have a read through our guide to FirstBuy for further details, and read the full Terms and Conditions for this offer here.
