You're covered

As well as a 10 year structural warranty we have a 2 year warranty on the fixtures and fittings, helping you to avoid the worry of unexpected maintenance costs. Explore our interactive home to see what's covered.

Applicances: Electrical appliances (annual servicing where applicable) for the warranty to remain

Bathrooms: Sanitaryware taps and shower doors

Wardrobes: Fitted wardrobes from Barratt Homes

Windows: Including locks and frames

Driveway: Including paths and paved areas

Kitchen units: Fitted kitchen units from Barratt Homes

Brick walls: External boundary walls (excluding load bearing walls which are covered under NHBC Buildmark warranty)

Drainage: Internal and external drainage system

Ironmongery: Including locks and handles (does not cover wear & tear or failure to maintain)

Central heating: Central heating system plus any fires

Plumbing: Hot and cold plumbing system

Electrical: Fixed wiring and lighting system

Doors: Internal and external doors

Foundations: The builder is responsible for putting right any damage caused by their failure to build to the NHBC Standards

Structure: Including retaining walls and external cladding

Roofs and ceilings: Excluding normal shrinkage, condensation or cosmetic damage

Responsibilities and exclusions

Owners are responsible for the following:

  • Regular servicing of central heating system
  • Servicing of appliances in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
  • Ensuring any damage is repaired in a timely manner

The following items are excluded from your warranty:

General wear and tear, neglect, abuse, poor maintenance, shrinkage, blockages, alterations, wilful damage.
