Jordanhill School

One of Scotland’s top secondaries, Jordanhill School lies midway between the centre of Glasgow and Clydebank. Catering for around 1,000 pupils, attainment levels are very high, with over 90% of students leaving with three or more Highers last year. Education Scotland was impressed on its latest visit, stating that “young people learn and achieve very well at Bearsden Academy”. Situated on Berkeley Street close to both the Exhibition Centre and Charing Cross train stations, as well as Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow Gaelic School is a strong academic option. It’s another high achiever, while it’s also an all-through school with little ones able to start from the age of three. Most secondary subjects are taught in Gaelic, making it unbeatable in the city if this is a first language for your kids.

St Ninian’s High School

A school which always performs well in terms of national league tables, St Ninian’s is another one of the best Glasgow secondary schools you can send your kids to. Admission is prioritised for local primary children, but places can be awarded to pupils living in spots like Cambuslang and Rutherglen.
