The nightlife of Liverpool

The nightlife of Liverpool
Looking to head into Liverpool for a night out on the dancefloor? As the city that blessed the world with everyone from the Beatles and Spice Girl Mel C, to entertainers Cilla Black and Paul O’Grady – not to mention comedians like Ken Dodd and John Bishop – Liverpool has so many treasures to unearth once the sun goes down. Whether you live across the Mersey on the Wirral or by the beach in Crosby, we’ve picked out five of the top Liverpool nightlife hotspots to call by.

Concert Square

Often regarded as Liverpool’s central nightlife hub, Concert Square is the place to go if you want to have a boogie to the latest chart, R&B and hip hop tunes. With revelers spilling out from the various bars and clubs into the square, this is one of the most popular places for nightlife in Liverpool city centre.

Ropewalks

Next door to here is the Ropewalks area, which offers a more bohemian vibe with great gig venues such as the Arts Club on Seel Street. That’s right next to Heebie Jeebies, another brilliant place to catch some live music. If you’re in the mood for a giggle, Hot Water Comedy Club is the place for you.

Matthew Street

Speaking of gig venues, there are few anywhere in the world as famous as the Cavern Club. Spiritual home of the Beatles, catching a band here is a rite of passage for any music lover in Liverpool. There’s a number of other bars to frequent along Matthew Street too, as well as a selection of statues to check out.

Baltic Triangle

Despite its chilly-sounding name, the Baltic Triangle is in fact home to some of the most happening nightlife Liverpool has to offer. Especially if you love a good rave, thanks to an array of warehouses converted into quirky venues by the creative minds of local promoters. Head to 24 Kitchen Street or Constellations for all-night dancing, or try Camp and Furnace for everything from tribute and open mic nights to top DJs, bingo and a whole host of other special events.

Stanley Street Quarter

The LGBTQ+ scene may not rival neighbouring Manchester’s Canal Street, but things are certainly getting better under the shade of the Liver Building. Stanley Street and its surrounding arteries offer an increasingly strong selection of bars and clubs, with a couple of the highlights including GBar and Navy Bar.

Whether you live in the city centre, on the northern outskirts in Maghull or further up the coast in Formby, Liverpool has some of the best nightlife in the UK. You’ll be in the perfect place to enjoy of all your favourite hotspots when you buy a new home on either our Sundial Place or Imagine Place development, where you can find everything from cosy 2 bedroom houses to sweeping 4 bed family homes.
