Whitworth Biopark
Burton Woods has its very own wildlife haven for native plants and animals.
- In 2008, we started transforming an area of land around Burton Woods to help protect and enhance local wildlife.
- This biopark has attracted many rare and special animal species – such as bats, barn owls and roe dear – and encouraged declining species like toads, newts and farmland birds to return.
- To protect these species there is no public access to the biopark but there are lots of ways to enjoy the countryside – why not wander through the parkland, walkways and footpaths around Burton Woods to explore this beautiful location for yourself?

Spacious homes for today's buyers
These beautiful homes are the result of extensive market research into what buyers want. Traditional exteriors blend with modern interior layouts, creating light and spacious living areas.
Smart construction for high energy savings
You’ll find quality build and materials throughout. Energy-efficient central heating, double glazing and high standards of insulation mean lower fuel bills.
The build so far
Building work began at Burton Woods in May 2010
We’re now working on the current phase of the build programme, producing some of our most popular home styles for first time buyers and families.
And you can be assured of first-class build quality. Site manager Andy Dawson was judged the best in the North East in the NHBC Pride in the Job campaign for his exceptional workmanship.
