Efficient, modern design

Designed with you in mind

Ness Castle is set high up giving it plenty of scope to see the views across the surrounding countryside. In fitting with this scenic location we’ve kept a large amount of existing trees in order to preserve the local area.

Homes at Ness Castle are spacious and offer a mix of open-plan living as well as a more traditional approach. Buying a new home with Barratt means you are entering a blank canvas which you can put your own stamp on and with our great range of kitchen and bathroom choices there’s plenty to choose from.

Did you know?

We’ve sourced every single stone for the stone dykes at Ness Castle from the land itself! Our Stone Mason wanted to reuse the original stones left on the site rather than import new. Apart from being eco-friendly and making good use of local materials it’s also a great story to tell your friends and family.

The build so far

The first phase of Ness Castle is well underway with our permanent Marketing Suite now open. Our Dornoch and Balmoral Show Homes are also now available to view. The essential road works are now done and the look of the development is starting to take place.

Investing in a Barratt home

Financial Advice

Our team can introduce you to new build mortgage advisers who will offer expert advice specific to your needs. They’ll help find the best buy-to-let investment mortgages, as well as offering guidance on tax and portfolio planning. Most can also meet you at a time and place that’s convenient for you.

Letting Agents

The right agent can make investing much easier. We have strong relationships with reliable local letting agents who will help you achieve the best rental rates for your property. We can also help negotiate management fees and commission rates so you get the best deal.

Legal Advice

If you need it, we can provide you with a list of fully independent solicitors. Offering fast, effective service at competitive rates, the firms we recommend have handled thousands of transactions for Barratt and are familiar with the entire process – meaning less hassle for you.

Quality

Our homes appeal to potential tenants, not just because they look great, but also because we design them to be energy efficient and low maintenance to live in. Our homes have won some of the industry’s most coveted awards for design and quality, and we’re the only major national housebuilder to be awarded a Five Star Housebuilder Award by the Homebuilders Federation, every year since 2009.

Great locations

Decades of UK building experience means we really understand the market – creating homes people desire, in places they want to live. Our properties offer great local amenities and facilities, and are close to major transport links. People like living in Barratt homes – which makes them great investments.
