Help to Buy the home you want

Make your money go further with Help to Buy. First time buyers or existing homeowners can buy a new home with just a 5% deposit and a 20% equity loan – available on all new builds in England under £600,000. Easily find homes within your price range using our handy Help to Buy calculator.

Adjust the slider to the amount of deposit you have available. This calculator assumes that the minimum allowable deposit on a ‘with Help to Buy’ mortgage is 5% and the maximum allowable deposit is 30%. This calculator also assumes that the minimum deposit for a ‘without Help to Buy’ mortgage is 15%.

Mortgage interest rates are set by mortgage providers and will depend on a number of factors such as your deposit value, the value of the property and your financial circumstances. As a guide, as of September 2013 most mortgage rates are between 3% and 6%. This calculator works on the basis of a capital and interest repayment mortgage, with interest calculated monthly.

[?]

Adjust the slider to the amount you might expect to be able to repay each month on your mortgage. The results will include your other settings, including your mortgage amount, length of the mortgage term and interest rate. Note that this amount does not include the interest repayable to the Government on your Help to Buy equity loan from year 5 onwards.

Efficient, modern design

We deliver more than just buildings- we deliver developments that create a true sense of place providing all the things you need to turn a house into a home. At Barratt we also use modern materials and building techniques to deliver energy efficient homes which reduce running costs and help the environment.

At The Avenue we have used a mixture of blue cladding, red facing brick and ivory render with white windows and doors on selected plots and some with black windows and doors giving a distinctive look which differs from the other phases at Buckshaw VIllage.

The build so far

The Avenue at Buckshaw Village is the last and final phase of Buckshaw and will boast 82 units and a range of one, two and three bed family homes. Build started in late 2012 with the first completions in June 2013. We have sold 38 homes to date, and estimate build completion for the development in late 2016.
