Barratt Teaches Kids About Site Safety

Site Manager Neil Pendlebury along with Sales Adviser Becky Collinson invited 15 children from White’s Wood Academy to come along to the development and find out about the dangers of building sites and what not to do when they are around them.

Hannah Wells, Teacher at White’s Wood Academy said; “When the school was given the chance to work with the team at Barratt, we jumped at it. It is so important for the children to be aware of the dangers on a building site and Neil and his team covered the topic perfectly.

“Barratt have been fantastic with all of the children involved and made this serious topic easy and fun to learn about.”

Full Time Sales Adviser -  Dawn has been with the company for over 5 years and has worked on The Belt since November 2011. Dawn has previously been awarded the Sales Advisor of the Quarter.

Site Manager: Neil started work on The Belt in 2010 and has been working for Barratt Homes for 5 years. When asked what he loved about the site Neil says “The friendly residents, the quality of the product that we produce and that the site and sales can deliver the home the buyer deserves.”

A fantastic location

The Belt is located in the historical market town of Gainsborough which boasts the award winning Marshall’s Yard. You will find everything you need from a selection of stores and leisure facilities to Ofsted rated good school and a local golf club within easy reach. The Belt also benefits from good commuter links to the A1M and the M180, with a range of terraced or detached houses to choose from we are sure The Belt has something for everyone.

The Belt is situated approximately one mile from Gainsborough Town Centre and is ideally situated for the A1 (M) and nearby cities of Scunthorpe, Lincoln and Doncaster. There are regular bus services running from Gainsborough and from the town centre, you can access the 'Gainsborough Central Railway' one of two railway stations.

Central Railway is the smaller of the two, running just 3 weekend services between the city of Sheffield and seaside resort Cleethorpes. Gainsborough Lea Road station is the larger and is situated just a further half a mile from the town centre. Lea Road has hourly direct services between Sheffield, Lincoln and Doncaster.
