Essentials on your doorstep

There's a great selection of primary schools surrounding The Lyng with the Lyng Primary School being the closest, who we have worked closely with since opening our development. The closest high school is Holly Lodge High School with speciality colleges also close by. For those seeking further education the University of Birmingham is only 20 minutes’ drive away and is also accessible by train.

Efficient, modern design

The Lyng comprises of 364 units, a mixture of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes, apartment, terraced, semi-detached and detached forms. This regeneration project creates new homes and a sense of community, from an area of disused land. Along the top of Moor Street, art features and hard landscaping help to create a new entrance statement and within the development 2 new parks – Lyng Park and Square Park will be created. A contemporary style is used and a simple palette of brickwork, render and cladding along with grey windows, follows the original design concept for the project.

The build so far

In total The Lyng will deliver 364 new homes across 4 phases with an integral 1 hectare public park running through it. Construction commenced in July 2010 with the first legal completions in June 2011. We are now building across all 4 phases with completion forecast for June 2018.
