The event at Hendon Waterside marks a significant milestone in the project’s delivery
Barratt London recently hosted a topping out ceremony at Hendon Waterside, Colindale, which will deliver over 2000 new homes, 25% of which will be affordable homes, by 2025.
Hendon MP Matthew Offord and the Deputy Leader of Barnet Council, Cllr Daniel Thomas were joined by representatives from Barratt Metropolitan LLP in undertaking a ceremonial pouring of concrete at the top of Woodlark Apartments, the most recent phase due to complete this summer. Speaking afterwards and relating also to the recent topping out event at the nearby Barratt London Trinity Square development, Cllr Daniel Thomas said:
“The Council has worked closely with Barratt London to ensure that Hendon Waterside delivers wider benefits for Barnet as a whole. Both schemes will not only bring investment to the borough, but are also providing community assets for everyone to enjoy”.
When completed, Hendon Waterside will have a mix of over 500 affordable homes. The regeneration will also provide improved public space, a new primary school, better roads and an enhanced shopping centre.
