Taking cyclists from Elephant & Castle to King’s Cross safer and speedier than before.
With a well-established cycle network in and around central London and 662 free cycle spaces, Blackfriars Circus provides plenty of opportunity for residents to “hit the streets” and explore this vibrant Zone 1 location. For the more nervous cyclist, TFL’s North-South Cycle Superhighway (CSS) will provide a safe and direct route for cyclists across central London between Elephant and Castle and King's Cross.
The first section of the cycle route opened between Elephant and Castle and Stonecutter Street, near Holborn Viaduct in spring 2016. The King’s Cross extension is expected to begin in autumn 2017.
The route has been designed to improve safety and comfort for cyclists by reducing conflict with motorised traffic. It also provides new and improved pedestrian facilities along the route. The 5km route will be either fully separated from traffic, or on quiet back streets.
Blackfriars Circus is exceptionally well connected, making commuting around London easy. If travelling by bicycle or on the bus routes surrounding the development aren’t your cup of tea, there are four stations within walking distance.
