08-06-2016 Barratt London Apprentice takes bronze at Guild of Bricklayers awards

Apprentice Bricklayer at Greenland Place is awarded 3rd place at London regional awards.

Barratt London is delighted to announce Robbie Kilty, Apprentice Bricklayer at Greenland Place, was awarded third place at the Guild of Bricklayers’ London regional awards yesterday.

The Guild of Bricklayers aims to promote the highest standards of craftsmanship in brickwork. Each year they hold a number of regional and national competitions where practising bricklayers can showcase their craft across three categories: New Entrant, Junior and Senior levels. Yesterday’s competition involved bricklaying students from several regional colleges, competing for a place in the National final of the competition to be held in Devon on 29 June.

Robbie joined Barratt London in August 2014 on the award-winning Barratt Apprentice Programme, specialising in bricklaying. He currently works on Barratt London’s Greenland Place development, where he is completing his Level 3 NVQ in Bricklaying.

David Paul, Project Director at Greenland Place, Barratt London commented: “This award shows Robbie's enthusiasm for the job, his diligence and hard work has paid off. To achieve success in this competition is extremely commendable; we are very proud of Robbie’s achievement.”
