Barratt London launches a car-free development in popular Camden Town.

Barratt London has launched its first development for 2016 – Camden Courtyards, at Stables Market in Chalk Farm last night. The stylish homes located in an area of Zone 2 that is highly sought after by young and wealthy professionals who are attracted to the eclectic music scene and renowned Camden Market.

The development is made up of 164 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, surrounding two tranquil courtyards. Residents will also enjoy a communal roof terrace and a 12-hour concierge service. The development’s design has sustainability at its core, it is car-free and includes 296 resident cycle spaces. Camden Courtyards is compliant with code for Sustainable Homes 4 and includes green and brown roofs, photo-voltaic panels and recycling facilities. The planting of the courtyards will feature mainly native trees and surface water run-off will be reduced as much as possible.

Gary Patrick, Regional Sales Director at Barratt London, said: “Camden Courtyards is a truly unique development located in the vibrant Camden Town. The design of these apartments ensures residents have access to open space with each apartment’s layout being sympathetic to noise and light pollution - typically associated with London housing.”

Located on the corner of Camden Road and St Pancras Way, Camden Courtyards is a ten minute walk to Camden High Street and Camden Market. Travel to central London is made easy with Camden Road Overground station just a two minute walk away, and Camden Town Underground a seven minute walk, which is served by the Northern line.

Prices started from £610,000 at the launch event.
