Metro Moves explores the up-and-coming area of Blackfriars, including Blackfriars Circus.
Famous for its historical theatres, art galleries and cafés, Blackfriars has always been a cultural hub in London, and Barratt London’s Blackfriars Circus development is playing a key role in the area becoming a “buzzing riverside district” says Metro Moves.
According to research from Knight Frank, over the past year house prices have increased an “impressive 3.9%, and over the past three years they have climbed by 28%”. The high property values in the area and a new range of residential developments in Blackfriars are making the area one to watch.
Blackfriars Circus is located just behind the Southbank, and is a “collection of 336 new homes, shops, cafés and offices within walking distance of the Tate Modern, the Old Vic and the Southwark Playhouse”. Made up of one-bedroom suites, one, two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses, Blackfriars Circus will be built around two new public squares. The development will feature on-site amenities such as a concierge, residents’ fitness suite and a roof-top garden giving residents stunning views across London.
