Chandos Tennis Club is ready to rally

Barratt London redevelops the Chandos Tennis Club.

Barratt London in partnership with the Chandos Tennis Club is delighted to announce that construction for a new state-of-the-art indoor facility has begun at Barratt London’s nearby Hampstead Reach development. A groundbreaking ceremony took place yesterday to mark the first arch for the covered tennis courts being erected.

The arch is an important milestone for the new facility being redeveloped by Barratt London at a new site on the East End Road in Barnet. The new club will feature four outdoor courts, four covered tennis courts, one junior court and a high-quality clubhouse with a lounge, café and meeting room.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Chandos Tennis Club, David Bernstein, and top ranking English tennis player Bobby Wilson, who has also been a head coach at the club for over 30 years. Mayor of Barnet, Mark Shooter, also attended the ceremony.

Hampstead Reach is set to become one of Barratt London’s most prestigious developments and has been designed to reflect the arts and crafts style of the neighbouring Hampstead Garden suburb. Consisting of a mixture of spacious two and three-bedroom apartments and five and six-bedroom detached houses, the development will be set around a private landscaped courtyard.

Bordering the historic Hampstead Garden suburb and a short walk to Hampstead Heath, Hampstead Reach is about a half-mile walk from Golders Green tube station with quick links into Hampstead Village and central London.
