Barratt London’s Greenland Place holds a Help to Buy event, to help potential customers understand how the government-initiative can help them.
The open day drew over 60 people and the team were able to help ten first-time buyers purchase their new Barratt London home in Copenhagen Court at Greenland Place. An independent financial advisor, solicitor and a Help to Buy agent were available to give buyers additional advice on the scheme.
Greenland Place is a landmark regeneration scheme in Deptford, providing a 562 studios, one, two and three-bedroom apartments just moments from the River Thames. The development’s Zone 2 location means commuting is easy, with a short walk to Surrey Quays station and a seven minute commute to Canary Wharf. In addition to a 24-hour concierge service, buyers can also take advantage of the on-site residents' fitness suite.
Copenhagen Court is the latest phase and the majority of properties are available to purchase on the Help to Buy scheme. Apartments are ready to move into this summer and prices start at £358,000. The Help to Buy scheme is ideal for those who have the income to support a mortgage but do not have the large deposit often required by mortgage lenders. To take advantage of the scheme you need to have 5% of the purchase price as a deposit and you also need to secure a 75% mortgage offer. This is particularly good for people looking to buy for the first time in London where the cost of living often means it is difficult to save.
