Barratt London launches Blackfriars Circus SE1 – a new landmark in London.
Barratt London launched the initial phase of our latest development in historic Southwark yesterday – Blackfriars Circus SE1. Made up of 336 one, two and three-bedroom apartments and duplex penthouses, the development will be the latest addition to Blackfriars Road.
Designed by Stirling Prize-winning architects Maccreanor Lavington, Blackfriars Circus will be divided across five buildings varying in height from five to 27-storeys that also provide space for new shops, cafés and offices. The buildings are set around two landscaped public open spaces that will create new pedestrian routes through to Library Street, opening the site up for the first time in generations.
Most homes at Blackfriars Circus have a balcony or winter garden and residents will also have access to two roof gardens, one of which is located at the top of the development’s 28-storey building, offering excellent views across London.
Blackfriars Circus is near a number of tube stations, which are all within a ten-minute walk. From there residents can be in Bank in four minutes, or in just eight minutes travel to Oxford Circus or Canary Wharf. For residents who like to travel further afield, they can be at three international airports or St Pancras station within about 45 minutes.
Gary Patrick, Regional Sales Director at Barratt London, said: “The regeneration of Southwark and its superb transport links is generating strong interest in Blackfriars Circus. It will attract residents that are seeking a well-appointed home, close to a raft of local amenities in a part of London that holds a strong identity within the community. Buyers will also benefit from the peace of mind provided by Barratt London’s very own on-site property management company which will look after the development and public realm for the long-term”.
The UK launch was very successful with over 50 attendees and 18 homes purchased on the day. Residents in this central Zone 1 location will benefit from a number of on-site amenities including a concierge service, a residents’ fitness suite and a roof-top garden providing stunning views across London.
Prices started from £490,000 at the launch.
