New youth facility helps boost the borough

Hendon Waterside is OnSide with the new Youth Zone.

OnSide Youth Zone is a charity focussed to give ‘young people quality, safe and affordable places to go in their leisure time.’ With the backing of Barnet Council, the new plans will see a £6m purpose-built environment for ages of eight to 19, or for those who have a disability, the age is increased up to 25.

OnSide Youth Zone acts as a support network for young people who need somewhere safe to go, somewhere reliable and somewhere they feel a sense of belonging. With a wealth of activities, Youth Zone occupies young people’s leisure time by developing new skills and socialising in fun surroundings.

Barratt London’s Hendon Waterside development is also helping to transform and improve the local area. The development is nestled between West Hendon playing field, Welsh Harp open space, Neasden recreation ground, Fryent Country Park and Clitterhouse playing fields – all large outdoor spaces, giving ample opportunity for families, children and animal lovers to enjoy the outdoors. With the news of plans for the young activity facility - families at Hendon Waterside can reap the benefit of having the OnSide Youth Zone in the area, a great way to meet new people and interact with the local area.

Hendon Waterside is bringing over 2,000 one, two and three-bedroom homes to the regeneration of West Hendon. Overlooking the Welsh Harp reservoir and set amongst beautiful green surroundings, the development easily adapts to a borough that engages and encourages people to be active and unwind.
