Redwood Park adds value to one of “London’s most dynamic boroughs”

Southwark Business Today explores the vast regeneration programme in Southwark, which Barratt London’s Redwood Park development is helping to transform.

Barratt London’s Redwood Park development is in the heart of the regeneration of Rotherhithe, and is “changing the way residents live, work and socialise” according to Southwark’s Business Today.
The current regeneration scheme is “transforming Rotherhithe’s future by creating a flourishing new waterfront zone next to Canada Water Jubilee line station”. New restaurants, retail shops, and developments including Redwood Park are emerging around the freshwater dock and transport hub.

Redwood Park, is “especially appealing to those working in London’s financial and business destinations” near excellent transport links. With Canada Water underground station a nine minute walk or three minute bus ride from the development, residents can reach Canary Wharf in two minutes and Piccadilly Circus in under 20 minutes. Additionally, the introduction of Crossrail at Canary Wharf in 2018 – linking East and West London – will make the area of Rotherhithe an “even more accessible part of London”.

Barratt London has added value to the restoration project of Rotherhithe and “dedicated much effort to the regeneration and support of the existing community”. Barratt London has formed a partnership with Redriff Primary School for a second year in a row, where we have landscaped the present playground, refurbished the nursery play area, and arranged a site visit for the children to learn about the importance of safety. A £10,000 donation was also given to the school, which will fund a school trip for year five students.

Living at Redwood Park gives residents access to the wonderful sights and sounds of London. Tower Bridge, Shakespearean performances at the Globe, the Tate Modern and St Paul’s Cathedral are minutes away, and a visit to trendy bars, rooftop patios, weekend markets and unique boutiques in London’s creative hub – Shoreditch – can be accessed by the nearby overground station. Redwood Park also offers a GP practice with surgical facilities, NHS dentists, chiropodists and more. Located next to the Russia Dock Woodland and Stave Hill Ecological Park, Redwood Park will bring 212 one bedroom suites, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, moments from the River Thames.
