The Cut gets a facelift

,

The Cut near Blackfriars Circus has undergone a major refurbishment.

Just ten minutes from Barratt London’s Blackfriars Circus development, The Cut has become a spot for residents and visitors to enjoy restaurants, bars and retail outlets, as well as The Young Vic, Old Vic and National Theatre Annex. The Cut runs from Southwark tube station to Waterloo Road and is a thriving part of London.

Thanks to a £3m refurbishment project funded by Transport for London, The Cut has undergone a major facelift over the past few years. The goal was to make the area more attractive for residents and businesses through a number of major physical improvements.

The improvements mean residents at Blackfriars Circus can enjoy piazzas for outdoor dining, widened and repaved footpaths, improved lighting, 48 trees planted, and 38 new cycle racks. These improvements are making The Cut one of the greenest and cleanest streets of London, and is making the area around Blackfriars Circus an even better place to live.

Blackfriars Circus is made up of one-bedroom suites, one, two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses, all built around two new public squares. The development will feature on-site amenities such as a concierge and roof-top garden giving residents stunning views across London.
