For families planning on making the move to Wellesley and Aldershot, being close to good schools will be important to you. In Wellesley itself, there will be two new primary schools at either end of Parade Park. The first, The Cambridge Primary School opened in September 2018.

There is an abundance of excellent schools in Aldershot, with St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, St Marks C of E Primary School and Talavera Junior School topping the School Guide tables. When it comes to Secondary Education, Farnborough Hill, Salesian College and All Hallows Catholic School are leading the way.

For those wanting to enter the military, there’s The Military Preparation College in the town and for those wanting to study A-Levels, there’s Salesian College and Farnborough College of Technology. The University Centre of Farnborough offers a range of degree courses and is based at the Farnborough College of Technology too. How are the transport links in Wellesley and Aldershot?

Aldershot is in the northeast of Hampshire, at the centre of Blackwater Valley and bordering Surrey. If you’re travelling from the M3 you’ll need to leave at junction 4 or 4A and follow the signs to Aldershot. From the M25, leave at junction 12 and join the M3 Southbound (signposted Basingstoke) before leaving at junction 4 or 4A.

If you’re travelling from the M4 leave at junction 11 and follow the A327 to the A30 and then follow the signs to Farnborough first, then on to Aldershot. From the A3, you’ll need to join the A31 Hogs Back and then the A331 Blackwater Valley Road, following signs for Aldershot.

Aldershot train station is on the South Western line, with regular trains from London Waterloo, should you need to travel to or from the capital.
