Newent is a small town with plenty of amenities, including a leisure centre, sports clubs and a library. The town is also home to Newent Arboretum, where you can enjoy a relaxing walk or take the dog for its daily run.
There are a number of popular attractions close to Newent, including The International Centre for Birds of Prey, Three Choirs Vineyard and Newbridge Farm Park. Getting to Newent
Newent is close to the M50 and M5, and although there’s no train station in the town, Ledbury and Gloucester are both well-connected by rail. Newent is 15 minutes from Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye, 20 minutes from Gloucester and 30 minutes from Cheltenham, while the drive from Hereford takes 35 minutes.
If you’re travelling from further afield, you can get to Newent in one hour from Bristol, one hour 10 minutes from Birmingham or two hours 15 minutes from London. For train journeys from the capital, the journey from Paddington to Gloucester takes under two hours.
For international travel, both Bristol Airport and Birmingham Airport are around 1 hour 10 minutes away by car.
