On sunny summer days, the Yorkshire coast is only a short drive away, and the Yorkshire Dales National Park and North York Moors are also nearby.

For sports fans, you can get active at Selby Leisure Centre and Selby Superbowl, or take a day trip to Leeds where you can watch Yorkshire County Cricket Club and Leeds Rhinos rugby team play at Headingley Stadium, and Leeds United play their home football matches at Elland Road.

Other places of interest in or near to Selby include the Jorvik Theatre and Arts Centre, Yorkshire Air Museum and Edwardian house Lotherton Hall.
