For more variety, head over to nearby Peterborough and take a look at their city centre and the Queensgate Shopping Centre. If Peterborough still isn't big enough, then Cambridge will be able to offer you both high street and designer shopping as well as an array of theatres, restaurants & cafes.

Family fun

Nearby Huntingdon has lots to offer when it comes to entertainment for the whole family. There's the Cromwell Museum, Leo's funzone, Rally Karting and also a leisure centre which offers bowling, skating and swimming. There is also a CineWorld which lets you view all the latest films. Close by there is Hinchingbrooke Country Park and Portholme Meadow which are both ideal places for family walks and picnics.

There is also a number of boating and rowing clubs in nearby Huntingdon and St. Ives and Huntingdon Racecourse holds events throughout the year.

Live the life

The roman town of Godmanchester has been established for hundreds of years. As local industry has expanded over the decades the town has grown as a result, today it is a vibrant market town but still has the traditional high street retailers you would expect from such a location. Moving here you will be able to enjoy beautiful scenery as well as plenty of things to do in the local area:

  • The local community organise a number of events annually including Picnic in the Park, Bonfire Night, New Year's Eve Fireworks and Gala day; fun for the whole family
  • Explore and purchase local produce from Huntingdon's Farmer's Market every other Friday
  • The area boasts boundless beauty. The river frontage is idyllic, once a Viking Port, today the Mill Lade is home to lots of wildlife and boats, it is also where you will find the much photographed Chinese Bridge.
