Efficient, modern design

Bilberry Chase has been named after the rare type of bilberries that grow on Cannock Chase. This is an exciting new development bringing 119 new homes to the area in terraced, semi-detached and detached styles. The design of our homes here are the result of our working relationship with the Local Authorities and we have taken the existing properties surrounding the development into consideration.

The homes we are building here are more energy efficient than an older home of the same size by up to 45-55%*. This means you can make an average saving of £1,132* a year on your energy bills.

*For more information on our energy efficient homes, click here.

The build so far

We started to build our homes at Bilberry Chase during July 2015 with the Sales Centre then opening mid-October. Our two lovely show homes are now open so come along to see how your new home could look. The first purchasers will move into their new home in the Spring. We anticipate to have all our homes built here by June 2018.

Our Site Manager Scott has plenty of experience and his knowledge of homes is invaluable, he will be delighted to show you around the various build stages of your new home.

A fantastic location

Be sure to take advantage of the great outdoors at nearby Cannock Chase. It became an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1958 due to its beautiful landscape, wildlife and history. It is also a great starting point for many of the Midlands best woodland walks and cycling trails including the award winning Follow the Dog and Monkey Trail.

Evenings and weekends

With Birmingham just a short train journey away, you can experience the hustle and bustle of the big city, and also enjoy the country parks and green open spaces in this small town you call home.

Retail Therapy
  • You will find both independent shops as well as high street retailers on Market Street. Over the last couple of years, the Victoria Shopping Park and Chase Gateway have been added to the area.
  • Shop ‘til you drop at the popular Bullring with 160 stores under one roof. Then stop by in one of the many bars or restaurants for a drink or bite to eat.
Family Days Out
  • Awarded Silver in the Best Small Attraction in Staffordshire last year, your family are sure to enjoy Go Ape’s Tree Top Adventure at Cannock Chase. Take in the beautiful woodland views as you swing through trees and fly down zip wires.
  • This town is best known for Hednesford Hills Raceway, built on a disused reservoir attracting race fans to the area since the mid-1950’s and still attracts crowds today.

Live the life

Whether you are looking for a romantic meal for two, some traditional pub grub or to sit back and relax in the comfort of your new home with a takeaway, you will find just what you are looking for in Hednesford. Nearby Cannock has a great choice of bars and nightclubs if you are looking for something a little livelier.

  • If you are a sport’s enthusiast you can follow the town’s semi-professional team, Hednesford Town FC, nicknamed ‘The Pitmen’.
  • The Chase Golf Health Club and Spa can be found just five minutes’ drive away.

Legal Advice

If you need it, we can provide you with a list of fully independent solicitors. Offering fast, effective service at competitive rates, the firms we recommend have handled thousands of transactions for Barratt and are familiar with the entire process – meaning less hassle for you.

Quality

Our homes appeal to potential tenants, not just because they look great, but also because we design them to be energy efficient and low maintenance to live in. Our homes have won some of the industry’s most coveted awards for design and quality, and we’re the only major national housebuilder to be awarded a Five Star Housebuilder Award by the Homebuilders Federation, every year since 2009.

Great locations

Decades of UK building experience means we really understand the market – creating homes people desire, in places they want to live. Our properties offer great local amenities and facilities, and are close to major transport links. People like living in Barratt homes – which makes them great investments.
