Essentials on your doorstep

With the Town Centre within walking distance, the development is ideally located for all your essentials. Here you will find your local grocery store, butchers and bakery.

For those with families, education is well served with Lyng Primary School and Birmingham University only a short drive away.

  • You will find the country's biggest Tesco Extra less than three miles away.
  • Although we offer parks and a play area, the large and popular Greets Green Park is just a few minutes walk away.

Efficient, modern design

As part of the regeneration project, you will also find a hectare of public park running through the middle of the development which is split into two parks, Lyng Park and Square Park.

All our homes here have a characteristic look and feel and are designed to be Lifetime Homes. With enough space for you to install a lift should you ever need one, you will not need to move again.

The homes we are building here are more energy efficient than an older home of the same size by up to 45-55%*. This means you can make an energy saving of £1,312* a year on your energy bills.

*For more information on our energy efficient homes, click here.

The build so far

In total The Lyng will deliver 335 new homes across four phases with the last phase of homes now available for you to buy. We started building our homes at The Lyng in July 2010 with the first legal completions taking place in June of the following year. With three phases complete and the last phase being built, we anticipate to have the development built and complete by June 2018.

If you need it, we can provide you with a list of fully independent solicitors. Offering fast, effective service at competitive rates, the firms we recommend have handled thousands of transactions for Barratt and are familiar with the entire process – meaning less hassle for you.

Quality

Our homes appeal to potential tenants, not just because they look great, but also because we design them to be energy efficient and low maintenance to live in. Our homes have won some of the industry’s most coveted awards for design and quality, and we’re the only major national housebuilder to be awarded a Five Star Housebuilder Award by the Homebuilders Federation, every year since 2009.

Great locations

Decades of UK building experience means we really understand the market – creating homes people desire, in places they want to live.
