Data methodology:

To source the list of baby names analysed we used the list of the most popular baby names via ONS in England and Wales from 2021 with any girl's and boy's names that were used at least 100 times.

To source house prices we used Land Registry price paid data from 2022, 2017, 2012, 2007 and 2002. The average prices were then calculated based on houses sold with either the name in the street name or the house number that was sold.

To avoid outliers, only names with at least 50 houses sold in 2022 were analysed. For house numbers only those with a higher number of houses sold above the median value were analysed. All names were then checked to exclude any names that are present in other words, e.g. “Ace” matching a lot of street names with “place” in.
