New Homes in Essex
Bordering the coast of South East England on one side, and Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Kent inland, Essex also shares a boundary with London. That means new homes in Essex are hugely popular for their excellent access to the heart of the capital.

With spots like Basildon offering you excellent access to Central London and all of the capital’s world-class cultural draws, there’s countless ways to spend your time closer to home too. Just a few of those include walks through Cudmore Grove Country Park with its beach and historic ruins, trips to an array of medieval castles, and family days out at attractions like Old MacDonald’s Farm and Fun Park.

Education
With a relatively large land area, there are great schools to tempt you to many different parts of the Essex region, including Hinguar Community Primary School in Southend-on-Sea and Hare Street Community Primary School and Nursery in Harlow – both rated as outstanding by Ofsted. Lee Chapel Primary School in Basildon is also outstanding, along with Quarry Hill Academy in Grays.
If you have older children, then Colchester County High School for Girls is ranked in the top 20 secondary schools across the country. Ofsted have rated it as outstanding, and the same goes for Westcliff High School for Boys Academy and Southend’s girls’ and boys’ high schools.
Essex transport links
The M25 motorway forms part of Essex’s southern boundary as it circles its way around London, while the M11 passes through the west of the county. Locals are encouraged to use walking and cycling routes as much as possible, although there are buses, trains and park and ride services readily available, as well as two major airports; London Stansted and London Southend.
