New Homes in Upton Park

A corner of East London that’s known for being the home of West Ham United for more than a century, Upton Park lies within Newham next to Forest Gate, Plaistow and East Ham. Houses in Upton Park are only around eight miles from Central London and closer still to London City Airport, with a Tube station served by the District and Hammersmith & City lines.

Although the Boleyn Ground has been replaced by the Upton Gardens development and West Ham now play their matches in nearby Stratford, there’s still plenty going on in the local area. Go shopping at the Queen’s Market, relax in East Ham Central Park and take the kids to Newham City Farm; all with our new homes closest to Upton Park below.

Despite being a built-up corner of London, there are still some superb green spaces to enjoy in the local area, including the 77-acre West Ham Park. The sprawling Wanstead Flats and Wanstead Park are within walking and cycling distance, along with Forest Lane Park with its lake and playground.

Stratford Park is even closer, featuring an outdoor pool, tennis courts, football cage and playground, and just a short stroll from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park where you can watch West Ham play at their new London Stadium ground or go for a dip at the London Aquatics Centre. If you have kids, ZAPspace Trampoline Park and Discover Children’s Story Centre are two places well worth a visit.

There are a number of excellent schools in and around Upton Park, with catchment areas that cater for kids in the locality. This includes St Edwards Catholic Primary on Green Street, St Stephens Primary on Whitfield Road and Forest Gate’s Shaftesbury Primary, all rated as outstanding by Ofsted.

If you’re after secondary options, St Bonaventures is a boys’ school in the education board’s top bracket, while St Angelas Ursuline is a school for girls. Plashet School is also an outstanding girls’ school, while Lister Community School is another good option which takes students who live in Upton Park.
