Just north of town you’ll find Bentley Priory Nature Reserve, Stanmore Common and Stanmore Country Park, which is spread over 30 hectares. You can enjoy some stunning views here, although it’s tough to beat Harrow View Point for sweeping vistas back across London. 

Heading west away from town you’ll come across Harrow Arts Centre, on the way to the beautiful Ruislip Woods with its popular lido and beach. Continue a little further and things get even bigger and more secluded at Colne Valley Regional Park. Here you can lose yourself in nature as you explore more than 43 square miles of scenery brimming with walking and cycling trails, lakes, rivers and wildlife-filled woods. 


There are a number of schools rated as good in and around Harrow Weald, including Weald Rise Primary. Belmont School is an outstanding primary, along with St Joseph’s Catholic Primary and Pinner Park Primary. The mixed all-through Whitefriars School is also in Ofsted’s top band, while Bentley Wood High and the Sacred Heart Language College are top local girls’ schools. Salvatorian Roman Catholic College is a good boys’ school. 

Harrow Weald transport links

The main local rail station, Harrow & Wealdstone, is just to the south of Harrow Weald. It offers Overground, Southern and West Midlands train services, while it’s also the northern terminus of the Tube’s Bakerloo line. This means you can be sure of a seat on your morning trip to work, with direct services available to places like Paddington, Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus and Embankment.
