A celebrated history

Wembley Park Gate is part of what Metro Moves calls an “emerging neighbourhood that’s more than achieving its goals” and is now home to one of the largest regeneration projects in the country. With a great deal of upcoming regeneration, Wembley is still bursting with history. The area was host to London’s first pleasure park, which was redeveloped for the Empire Exhibition, and later the Empire Games. The Exhibition was held in 1924, followed by the Commonwealth Games in 1934.
