Southport is connected to the surrounding area by two main roads, including the A565 which runs up and down the coast. The road ends in the centre of Liverpool to the south, around half an hour’s drive away, while the A570 heads inland towards Ormskirk and St Helens.
The town has its own train station which offers regular services to places like Manchester, Liverpool and those two cities’ major international airports. You can also use local buses and coaches to get around, while ferry crossings over to Belfast, Dublin and the Isle of Man are available from Liverpool.
