Armed Forces Deposit Contribution

We’re hugely grateful for all military personnel, so to show our gratitude we're offering Britain's military servicemen and women a special scheme to help them get on the property ladder.

How does it work?

Armed Forces 5% deposit contribution

To assist with their home purchase military servicemen and women will be offered a 5% deposit contribution, up to £15,000.

Here’s an example of how it works:

For a home costing £200,000 they would qualify for a contribution of £10,000.

Who is eligible and how do I apply?

All UK Armed Forces personnel who are currently employed by the Army, Navy or RAF.

What if I am due to retire from the forces?

Those set to retire from the forces this year will remain eligible for up to 12 months from the date they retire.

We are proud to be working with Defence Discount Service, to help UK Armed Forces personnel to buy their own home.

You could save thousands with our Key Worker scheme

If you’re eligible for our Armed Forces scheme you’re also eligible for our Key Worker scheme too.

We are offering key workers a contribution towards your deposit, plus we'll include flooring throughout your energy-efficient, brand-new home.

With the scheme, for every £20,000 spent on the purchase price of a brand-new Barratt home, we will contribute £1,000 towards your deposit.

Armed Forces Deposit Contribution FAQs

  • To assist with their new home purchase, military personnel will be offered a 5% deposit contribution up to £15,000. This means for a home costing £200,000, they would qualify for a contribution of £10,000.
  • You’ll need to get in contact with one of our Sales Advisers on the development you wish to move to. They will then put you in touch with a New Homes Mortgage Adviser to start your application process and confirm details such as proof of membership etc. in order to receive this discount.
  • If you qualify for the Armed Forces Deposit Contribution scheme, you’ll also be eligible for the Forces Help to Buy and Key Worker schemes.
  • Visit one of our Sales Advisers at your chosen development or call us to find out more. They’ll be able to advise on the best offer for your circumstances.
