Step 1 – Reserve your brand-new home, complete a Movemaker application and we'll take your new home off the market.
Step 2 – An asking price for your current home will be agreed after 2 independent valuations.
Step 3 – We'll work with you to instruct an estate agent to handle the sale of your current home.
Step 4 – We'll cover the estate agent costs.
Step 5 – You move into your brand-new home.

Buying a new home is an exciting time in your life, but we understand it can also be a stressful period. You can rest assured that Barratt will be with you every step of the way, and with our Movemaker service, we will help to ensure you have a less stressful experience when you move.
To apply for the Movemaker scheme, we first need to ensure you’re eligible. You can visit one of our Sales Advisers at your chosen development who will take a few details and guide you through the process.
We will use estate agents that are local to the property and area your property is located in, so this can vary.
Our final valuation will be based on the valuations from two local estate agents who have carried out an inspection of your home and the price of similar properties on the market.
You can reserve your new home at the start of the Movemaker process. You must then enter into a Movemaker agreement concerning the sale of your existing property which will include a time period for the marketing of your existing property and other terms and conditions.
Once a buyer wants to buy your property, we can proceed with finalising the purchase of your new home.
