Your kitchen appliances

Your kitchen appliances fitted by Barratt Homes are normally supplied by one of three manufacturers: Electrolux, AEG or Zanussi. They are covered by your two-year warranty.

Where can I find my manual?

All manuals for appliances supplied with your home will be in the welcome pack provided when you moved in. However, you may also obtain a copy from the manufacturer’s website:

Where do I find the serial number of my appliance?

Should you experience a fault with your appliance, you will need a note of the product number. Each appliance has a plaque detailing the model and product number, the user manuals linked above will show you where the plaque can be found on your appliances.

What to do if you have an issue

We want your problems to be resolved as quickly as possible.

  • Remember, it’s the homeowner’s responsibility to register kitchen appliances with the manufacturer. Complete and return the product card found either inside the appliance or in your handover pack.
  • All warranty claims must be reported directly to the appliance manufacturer.
  • This is to allow you to speak directly to their service team and ensure that full details of the product and fault can be accurately reported, and that you can agree a convenient time for a service engineer to attend.
  • To arrange appointments with Electrolux, AEG or Zanussi, call Service Force on 03445 616 616.

How long are my appliances covered by warranty?

Appliances purchased from Barratt Homes benefit from a 2 year warranty, however you can purchase an extended manufacturer’s warranty when registering your appliance.

Extractor hood

Filters in your extractor hood capture grease and food particles, while charcoal filters are used when the fan cannot be ducted to the outside. Some can be cleaned and reused, while others will need to be replaced. Check your appliance manual for full details.
Information about usage and care of kitchen extractor hoods can be found in our extractor fans guide.
