Situated in Berkshire in South East England, Slough is around 20 miles from central London.

Buying a new home in Slough will enable you to enjoy all the town has to offer, as well as easy access to areas such as Windsor and Richmond.

Things to see and do in Slough                     

Slough is a great destination for families, with attractions such as Slough Ice Arena with family skating sessions and disco skating nights.

Snakes and Ladders is a great indoor adventure park, while LEGOLAND in Windsor is another option for a fun family day out.

Nearby Black Park Country Park has 530 acres of woodland. Further afield, you could also spend the day at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew which is around 13 miles away.

Thorpe Park in Chertsey is about seven miles away from Slough, and Royal Ascot is located around eight miles away.

A great benefit of living in Slough is its close proximity to the capital. Here you can enjoy fantastic shopping in areas such as Oxford Street, exciting entertainment in the West End and bucket-loads of history, culture and nightlife options.

Education

There are a number of universities and schools located near to Slough, but the most famous of these is Eton in Windsor. Established in 1440 by King Henry VI, it is one of the oldest schools in the country counting royalty and members of parliament among its pupils.

Slough Transport Links

Slough has some fantastic road links to the rest of the UK. Situated right next to the M4, residents can access the motorway via junctions 5, 6 and 7, which in turn opens up connections to the M25, M40 and A4 and the remainder of the UK. London, Reading, Windsor and Bracknell are in close proximity making Slough an excellent location for commuters. 

London Heathrow is extremely close by and can be reached in less than 20 minutes via the M4. The 75, 76, 77 and 78 buses provide trips to the airport.

Slough Railway Stations is an excellent commuter hub, with First Great Western trains operating express services to London and Reading every half hour, which both take less than 20 minutes. It also operates as a junction between the Great Western Main Line and the Slough to Windsor & Eton Line, opening up a whole host of connection opportunities.
