New Homes in Crosby FAQs

  • The perks keep on coming, thanks to Crosby’s excellent location within Merseyside. You can drive to Liverpool down the A565 in just 15 minutes, while fellow seaside town Formby is the same distance to the north.

The M57 and M58 motorways both run quite close to town, providing you with access to the M6 and M62, which you can use to drive to Manchester in around 50 minutes. The local train stop is Blundellsands and Crosby railway station, while there are also plenty of bus services you can use to get around.

  • Crosby is home to a number of strong schools. For younger children, Great Crosby Catholic Primary lies in the east of town and has been classed as good by Ofsted. Two other local schools have been rated as outstanding by the education board; St Nicholas CofE, just off Blundellsands Road W, and Forefield Community Infant and Nursery School, which is next to Moorside Park.

If your kids are a little older, Crosby High in the north east of town and Chesterfield High in the east have both been judged as good by Ofsted. The same goes for Holy Family Catholic High in neighbouring Thornton and Newfield School, which is a special school that caters for children aged from five to 16.

  • Crosby Beach is a beautiful stretch of golden sand, perfect for enjoying sunny days out, relaxing walks or energetic bike rides. Keep an eye out for the 100 cast iron figures dotted along the shore, which form Anthony Gormley’s impressive modern sculpture, Another Place.

Make the most of Rimrose Valley Country Park, found just steps from the waterfront, as well as Lunt Meadows Nature Reserve with its abundant wildlife. With Cabin Hill National Nature Reserve up the coast and Liverpool a short journey in the opposite direction, Crosby delivers the very best in both natural and city life.

  • Building sandcastles, splashing in the sea, going for coastal walks and exploring country parks; there’s so much to look forward to if you’re thinking of moving to Crosby.
