    Gleniffer Braes Country Park is also very close to town and a wonderful place to soak up far-ranging views of the local area. With local reservoirs, golf clubs and country parks, as well as the bright lights of the city nearby, you can also drive to the coast in just half an hour for a day on the Firth of Clyde.

  • The centre of Glasgow is only around eight miles from Barrhead, which is a journey of just 20 minutes by road or rail, with the town’s train station just off Paisley Road. Glasgow Airport is even closer, while you can also use the local bus routes to make your way around the local area. The M74, M77 and M8 motorways all pass relatively close to town too. You can use the latter to drive to Edinburgh in just over an hour.
