The pace is a little faster at the town’s indoor karting track, while local green spaces include the Blue Lagoon Local Nature Reserve and Mount Farm Park.

There’s more natural scenery on offer at Furzton Lake, while Waterhall Park is on the south-east edge of town on the fringes of open countryside. Walkers, hikers and cyclists will love the Chiltern Hills and trips over to the Cotswolds, while London is only ever a short journey away too.

This is a great area to live if you have children or plan to do so, with a number of schools rated as outstanding by Ofsted. The local secondary is the Lord Grey Academy on Rickley Lane which is ranked as good, while there are plenty of other options for older kids in the surrounding area.
