New Homes in Peacehaven

Life the Life

Located in East Sussex, above the imposing cliffs of the South Downs and just outside Brighton, Peacehaven is a town with plenty to see and do. Whether strolling along the beach, taking in the views of the ocean from a cliff-side look-out point, learning about history at a local museum, or relaxing in some green open space, there will be something for all the family close to your new home in Peacehaven.

Things to see and do

As you’d expect from an East Sussex coastal town, life in Peacehaven is all about the beach. The picturesque Saltdean Beach is the perfect place to while away summer days with the family. It’s also a popular dog walking spot in winter, while the views are not to be missed at any time of year. A trip to the Seaford Museum is a fantastic way to learn about the area’s history and relationship with the sea, as is a trip to nearby Newhaven fort.

For the fitness enthusiasts in the family, there’s nothing like a run along the Peacehaven undercliff walk, while the Big Parks project is home to a playground and skatepark for the kids and walks for the entire family.

Other family attractions close by include Lewes Castle, Spring Barn Farm, and Sky High Trampoline Park. With Brighton on your doorstep, you’ll be able to enjoy the best in restaurants, bars and cafes close by.

Education

For families moving to the area, Peacehaven is home to several good schools including Peacehaven Heights Primary School, Telscombe Cliffs Community Primary School, Saltdean Primary School, and Seahaven Academy.

If you or your older children are planning on studying for a degree from your new home in Peacehaven, the University of Brighton is just 25 minutes away by car.

Getting to Peacehaven

Peacehaven is well connected to Brighton by road, with a trip along the coast via the A259 taking under 20 minutes. You can reach London in just over two hours and Southampton in just under two.

The closet railway station is two and a half miles away in Newhaven, either Newhaven Town or Newhaven Harbour. London Victoria is a 90-minute journey from Newhaven Harbour, with one change in Lewes, and Brighton half an hour.

When the time comes to enjoy a well-earned holiday, Gatwick International Airport is just a 45-minute drive away, and under an hour’s train journey from Newhaven Harbour, via Lewes.
