The town has two railway stations; Ipswich and Derby Road. Direct services to Liverpool Street run three times an hour from Ipswich station, with a journey time of under an hour and a half. Norwich is 45 minutes on the train, with Colchester 20 minutes away and Chelmsford around 45 minutes.
When the time comes to enjoy a well-earned rest, Stanstead International Airport is an hours’ drive or 90 minutes on the train and bus. Harwich International Port is 40 minutes away, providing ferries to the Hook of Holland.
