New Homes in Sutton Coldfield FAQs

  • You can look forward to the best of both worlds when you buy a new house in Sutton Coldfield. Granted its royal title by Henry VIII back in 1528, your dream home in this charming area could be closer to reality thanks to offers.
  • The relaxed, peaceful atmosphere of the town centre is a huge draw, and it’s little wonder with the vast Sutton Park nearby, offering the chance of lakeside walks, bike rides and picnics on a sunny day, as well as sailing, canoeing, golf, cycling and horse riding. New Hall Valley Country Park isn’t far from the heart of town either, while Plantsbrook Local Nature Reserve is also close.

Whether you’re exploring the historic Roman landmarks to the north, feeling the rush at the Jaguar Experience to the south or spending the day walking around Kingsbury Water Park, the kids will love a trip to Drayton Manor Theme Park, one of the largest in the UK.

  • Your children may not enjoy the classroom as much as rollercoasters and rides, but there are still plenty of excellent local schools for them to attend. Little Sutton Primary and Moor Hall Primary are both outstanding options in the north east of town, according to Ofsted. Four Oaks Primary in the north west is also outstanding, along with St Nicholas Catholic Primary in the south west.

The town’s reputation for top schools continues at secondary level, with Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls in the south of town rated as good by Ofsted. The same goes for Bishop Vesey’s Grammar, a boys school in the heart of town, as well as the mixed Arthur Terry School to the north.

  • Sutton Coldfield offers a great position within the West Midlands, and takes advantage of this with its bus and train services. Trains to Birmingham take around 20 minutes, while buses to Walsall take just a touch longer.

The town lies between the M6 and M6 Toll, and with the M42 nearby, you get excellent access to the national motorway network. If you have your sights set further afield, Birmingham Airport is only a little more than 10 miles away.
