Supporting Our Local Communities

As the country’s largest housebuilder it’s really important we* build strong local communities. Part of that is by giving things back – through supporting charities and building a positive spirit. We want to leave a powerful legacy in the communities in which we operate and over the past year we have donated nearly £5m to charitable causes.

Together with the Barratt Foundation, we have big million pound national partnerships with charities such as The Outward Bound Trust or Whizz-Kidz. Equally, we have lots of smaller partnerships too, with organisations such as The Big Issue, RBLI or Magic Breakfast.

Through our Community Fund each of our 29 divisions donates every month to causes that matter to them – meaning that £360,000 has been donated to 275 charities over the past financial year.
We also support our employees to volunteer in their local communities. Last year we gave nearly 4,000 hours of volunteering to good causes and charities.
