Things to see and do

Grimsby is a vibrant place to live, with shopping at Freshney Place Shopping Centre, a regular market at Freeman Street, and Alexandra Retail Park for out of town shopping. For golfers, you can practice your swing at Grimsby Golf Club, while the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is ideal for hiking and biking. Other places of interest include Caxton Theatre, Grimsby Auditorium and Weelsby Park Riding School.

Education

Getting to Grimsby

If transport links are important to you, it’s good to know that Grimsby has very good connections by road and rail. The M180 is nearby, and Grimsby Town station has regular services to towns and cities across the country.

Grimsby is 35 minutes from Scunthorpe by car or train, around one hour from Doncaster by road or rail, and a one hour 20 minute drive from Sheffield. If you’re travelling to London, the train from Grimsby to King’s Cross takes around three hours, changing once at Newark North Gate.

When you want to go on holiday, Humberside Airport is only a 20 minute drive away from Grimsby, while the nearest major airport is Doncaster Sheffield, around one hour away by car.
